ISPA Board Changes

ISPA Board Changes

In September Nicola Mullany resigned from her position as Chair of ISPA and Saadiya Ahmad resigned from the Board.  Following discussions within the Board and with the British Parking Association two new interim appointments have been made.

Douglas Campbell OBE has been appointed Chair of ISPA.  Douglas has been a Board Member since February 2014.  He is a wheelchair user and disabled driver. He lives in Milton Keynes where he works as a consultant specialising in disability issues and charity management. He is a chartered accountant and for many years ran his own practice. For ten years he was CEO of The Disabled Drivers’ Association. He has advised central and local government on issues related to parking and disabled people. Douglas was appointed OBE in 2002 for services to the mobility of disabled people.

Jo Abbott has been appointed as an ISPA Board Member.  Jo retired as a member of the RAC Foundation’s permanent staff in 2016. During her 15 years with the organisation she worked with many groups representing both local authority and private parking. She helped to shape the Foundation’s policy on parking through consultation, research, and writing. Prior to joining the Foundation Jo’s career had included service as a commissioned officer with the British Army specialising in transport and logistics. She is also a qualified graduate teacher.
