All operations of The Independent Scrutiny Board for Parking Appeals on Private Land (ISPA) ceased on March 21st, 2017.
At the meeting of the Independent Scrutiny Board for Parking Appeals on Private Land (ISPA) on 26 January, the Board was informed of the decision of the British Parking Association (BPA) to cease its funding from 1 April 2017.
The ISPA board has accepted there was no alternative but to cease all its operations on 31 March 2017 if adequate funding was not made available. It is regrettable that there is no longer any provision for ensuring that POPLA is seen to act independently of the parking sector.
The ISPA board is proud of the work it did and believes that its closure is contrary to the best interests of both motorists and the parking sector.
